Sending men to terrorize innocent people is such a mind fuck. The suicide/depression rates of Vets is insane but completely understandable. I work with a girl who’s husband was a vet. Some sort of special forces or whatever. He ended up hanging himself last year in their master closet. This was after a four month fast decline of his mental state which included abuse on her which wasn’t a thing even the year before. They had known each other since they were five years old. I kept telling her what you accept will continue and what continues will escalate. Unfortunately, I know from past experience. During his four month decline into madness she kept passing out randomly. She figured out two days before he killed himself that he was drugging her. He was trying to kill both of them but thankfully his full plan didn’t go through. It’s just so fucked because she said before the military there were zero signs of mental illness.
